Davidson Clan

The Davidsons of Invernahaven in Badenoch, were, according to common tradition, originally a branch of the Comyns. After the downfall of the Comyns, Donald Du of Invernahaven associated himself with Clan Chatttan, married a daughter of Angus (VI.) of Mackintosh and became a leading member of Clan Chattan. The favor shown to him by the Captain of Clan Chattan roused the jealousy of another clan, a jealously which brought about the virtual extinction of the Davidsons.
