Munro Clan
The Munros are thought to have been Irish Mercenaries who came to Scotland in the eleventh century. They may have originated in Derry in Ireland near the River Roe. By helping King Malcolm II of Scotland to defeat the Vikings they wee rewarded by getting tracts of land in Rosshire.
The Munros were vassals of the Earl of Ross in Rosshire on the north shore of the Cromarty Firth. This part of the county is known as the area known as Ferindonald (Donald\'s land) after their first chief.
This is a short extract from the full Clan history which accompanies each of our flags. Presented on fine art paper, your Clan history can be displayed with pride.
